LC-MS mass spectrometry. Confirms the molecule is the molecule — exact mass match to the claimed peptide. Catches look-alikes and wrong compound entirely.
HPLC assay. Percentage of the vial that is the labeled compound vs. synthesis byproducts. The number we publish — never a guarantee before the certificate posts.
Content quantitation. Does the vial hold the milligrams on the label — down to the microgram, not just the right molecule.
LAL endotoxin + ICP-MS heavy metals. Bacterial contamination and residual metals from synthesis. The two things a purity number alone never tells you.
SEC-HPLC + Karl Fischer. Aggregation (heat damage in transit) and moisture. Every shipment runs cold-chain with temperature-indicator stickers.
Anyone can print a number. A real COA shows its work — here's how to read one in sixty seconds, whether it's ours or anyone else's.
On an HPLC chromatogram, each compound exits the column at its own time. The tall peak at your peptide's expected retention time is the peptide. Its share of the total area = the purity %.
Trace bumps before/after the main peak are impurities — synthesis leftovers. Honest certificates list them by retention time. A COA with one bare number and no chromatogram is an opinion, not data.
Check WHO ran it — an independent lab you can call, with an accession number you can verify. Self-issued certificates from the seller's own back room prove nothing.
A real COA is tied to YOUR vial's lot, not "representative sample of our product line." No lot match = wrong paperwork. Compare before you trust.
